Pain
I have been having severe cramping to the point I've about got in the car and headed to the hospital thinking I was in pre-term labor. I'm only 21 weeks and they started at 19 weeks. I've been to my obgyn for a checkup and he says all he can figure is there stretching pains. I'm no wuss nor am I intolerant to pain. This has happened in front of other people and one about called an ambulance. It literaly brings me to my knees. Whats going on any ideas. This really scares me and the drs saying nothings wrong that he can find. Help!
You may have adhesions from previous abdominal surgeries, including RNY. They are not fun! There's not much they can do to give you a definite diagnosis either. Every abdominal surgery creates scar tissue and the stretching in your abdomen causes it to become irritated. Pay attention to your eating and such. If you get to the point where you can't eat or if you can't go to the bathroom make sure you let your dr know asap. WLS patients have a higher incidence of bowel obstruction- esp RNY pts. Either way, if it is adhesions they can give you pain medicine, but they don't encourage their pregnant patients to take it....
. Good luck!
